Today is the prelude of God’s goodwill / and the prophecy of the salvation of men. / The Virgin appears openly in the temple of God / and foretells Christ to all. / So let us cry to her with loud voices: / Rejoice, thou who art the fulfillment / of the Creator’s providence.
Troparion of the Entrance of the Most Holy Mother of God into the Temple
On Thursday, November 21, our Holy Orthodox Church celebrates the Feast of the Entry of the Most Holy Mother of God into the Temple. Please join on Wednesday, November 20 at 7:00PM, as we celebrate this great occasion with the Vigil for the Feast. All are welcome!
This Feast is one of the 12 Great Feasts of the Orthodox Church and commemorates the dedication of Mary to the service of God by her righteous parents, Saints Joachim and Anna. In the Western Christian tradition this day is commonly called the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Feast of the Entry of the Most Holy Mother of God into the Temple “foretells God’s blessing for the human race, the preaching of salvation, the promise of the coming of Christ“. To learn more about this Feast, visit the article Entrance of the Theotokos to the Temple from the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
Dear Parish Family,
Four Evangelists is joining Harford County Government, Harford County Public Library, and We Cancerve in the annual “SOCKtober” collection drive during the month of October. As we get into colder weather new socks, hats, mittens, and gloves of all sizes will be distributed to local individuals and families experiencing homelessness or on the brink of homelessness, and to local veteran’s organizations.
A collection box for these items will be located in the back hall at Four Evangelists. Sunday, October 27 is the last day for this drive.
Thank you for your generosity!

Today, September 26, is the Repose of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist St. John the Theologian. Also, since there is no day commemorating the Four Holy Evangelists collectively, this is the patronal feast day of our parish. A blessed feast to all!
