Pan-Orthodox Children’s St. Nicholas Festival – 7 December 2024

On Saturday, 7 December 2024, Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in Baltimore, MD will host a Pan-Orthodox St. Nicholas Festival for Sunday School students. The games, gingerbread man making, and other fun activities begin at 3:00 PM. Afterwards, Great Vespers start at 5:00 PM. The activities are appropriate for young children up to middle school. Teens are needed to run the activities at the various stations. Please send your RSVP by 2 December  to Dr. Pat Disharoon at pdisharoon@aol.com.

Mark your calendars! The Bow Tie Campaign, an online silent auction fundraiser to benefit Four Evangelists Orthodox Church, is coming!

Beginning 22 November through 06 December, you will have the opportunity to bid on an eclectic collection of new – and like new – bow ties and traditional straight ties from the collection of our late, dear friend, Dr. David Mukai, D.O., Col (Ret.), donated by his wife, Peggy.

Hurricane Relief

This coming Sunday, 13 October 2024, we will be taking up a special collection for relief efforts following the devastation caused by Hurricanes Helen and Milton.

If you would like to support this endeavor, please note “Hurricane Relief” in your giving. You may also give electronically through our online giving portal by selecting “IOCC Hurricane Relief” in the drop-down menu.

All financial gifts will be used to support the International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) US Emergency Response Fund.

Proskomedia Teaching Service

On Sunday, 06 October 2024, at 8:30am, Fr. Gregory will perform the Proskomedia (offering, oblation) service as a “teaching service” in the nave of the church and will explain the what happens and the why it happens of this important service.

Proskomedia is a service of preparation of the bread and wine (the gifts) to be offered in the Divine Liturgy and is normally performed in the sanctuary (altar area behind the iconostasis).

Don’t miss this wonderful learning opportunity!
