IOCC School Kit Drive

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Dear Friends,

We are once again collecting basic school essentials for the IOCC (International Orthodox Christian Charities) School Kits. The following items are needed for each kit:

1 pair of blunt metal scissors (rounded tip)
3 70-page spiral-bound notebooks. No loose-leaf pages.
30 centimeter (12 inch) ruler
1 handheld pencil sharpener
6 pencils with erasers. Please do not buy pencils that have been sharpened.
1 large 2 1/2″ eraser
1 box of 24 crayons

We will collect items through August 31st and assemble them September 1st and 8th. They may be put in the plastic box in the hall by the bathrooms.

Please note that due to Fr. Gregory’s out-of-town travel this weekend, Vespers will be canceled for Saturday, 10 August 2024.

We will continue our worship together with the Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning at 9:00am.

Feast of Pentecost

Tomorrow, 23 June 2024, is the 8th Sunday of Pascha and the Feast of Holy Pentecost, the celebration by the Church of the coming of the Holy Spirit as the end—the achievement and fulfillment—of the entire history of salvation.¹

Please join us for the Festal Divine Liturgy at 9:00 AM, followed by a portion of Kneeling Vespers at which we will kneel together for the first time since Great and Holy Pascha. These prayers are traditionally prayed after Vespers but commonly celebrated immediately following the Liturgy in modern parish usage.
